In Fallout lore, which is the more technologically advanced organization, the Institute or Big MT

 Advanced how? Both are incredibly ahead of their time with innovations from the think tank like new space age alloys, matter conversion, new forms of energy, robo scorpions, stealth boxes and teleportation to preset locations from their think tanks and concentration camps

if youre talking about advanced as an in general thing then I believe MT blows the institute out of the water, they have a LOT of innovations from the think tank and are just a more extreme version of the institute.

with that being said, the result changes if you’re talking about the most singular piece of advanced tech they have. I’d say big MT is the man who can do a thousand kicks once, while the institute has practiced a one trick pony for centuries, that pony being the creation of legitimate limitless advanced “life forms”

The institute doesn’t have nearly as much advanced tech as big MT but I’d say their perfection of big MTs teleportation (where they can send most anybody anywhere) and their Gen 3–4 synths are the closest fallout has come to magic.

the institute in their desire to control the world and guide it to “perfection” created the perfect infiltrators. Robots and artificial intelligence with such a degree of realism that they truly become as “alive” as any of us. Their gen 3 synths are already the most advanced beings in the entire commonwealth strategically and mentally (see paladin danse) let alone gen 4 where they would have created an essentially growing breathing robot. It’s almost sorcery when you can go from creating robots to creating actual fuckin soul clones.
