If you were a government official, what policy would you like to implement for the development of science and technology?

  I would like to implement for the development of science and technology:

• Increase pay of teachers to at least 50/hr. Every teacher should be making 6 figures.
• Public schools are federally funded instead of funded by local property taxes.
• Public schools are free.
• Public universities are free.
• Provide federal funding for various after-school interest programs, such as science clubs, robotic clubs, music and art programs, etc.
• Public schools provide free lunches.
• Federally funded research programs.
• More money goes to NASA and other research organizations.
• (From comment) Create a program that provides teachers with affordable quality housing near the school they teach.
• (From comment) A national minimum curriculum. You can teach creationism AFTER you teach evolution. Give these poor kids a chance at being literate before you poison them with your religious bullshit. You want to “improve the development of science and technology?” trust me, teaching children your fucked up holy book is NOT going to help with that.We can start from there and see how it goes.

As for where the money comes from, well, I think we could use fewer Javelin missiles. We have enough Javelin missiles, and tanks, and F-22s.
